It’s been a while since I’ve sat down to write here—three years, to be exact. The last time I posted, it was January 2021, the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. My twins weren’t even three years old yet, and I was knee-deep in full-on mom mode, just trying to keep it all together while the world around us felt so uncertain. Like many of you, those days were a mix of chaos, exhaustion, and learning to find joy in the small, everyday moments.
Fast forward to today, and wow—what a journey it’s been. Life didn’t slow down after 2021, but instead of letting the chaos control me, I decided to take control of my story.
What I’ve Been Up To
Over the last three years, I’ve poured myself into building a life that aligns with my dreams, values, and priorities. I transitioned from a corporate career to becoming my own boss—an entrepreneur building an online empire from the ground up. It hasn’t been easy, but the freedom, flexibility, and pride I feel are worth every late night and early morning.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s been keeping me busy:
1. Launching Alexia Hair Collection:
I initially launched my hair extension line, Alexia Hair Collection, before COVID-19, but the chaos of life put a pause on growing it. Now, I’ve officially launched it online, and it’s been incredible to see the response! Helping women feel confident and beautiful with high-quality extensions has been a dream come true.
2. Evolve Haircare Salon:
Since 2013, I’ve been running Evolve Haircare, my salon specializing in installing hair extensions. It’s where I first fell in love with helping women transform their looks and boost their confidence. Being able to offer both salon services and an online extension line has been a natural evolution of my passion.
3. Influencing and Amazon Reviews:
I’ve turned my love for finding and recommending amazing products into an income stream by doing Amazon reviews and sharing my favorite finds as an influencer. From must-haves for busy moms to beauty tools, I love helping others discover products that make life easier and more enjoyable.
4. Affiliate Marketing and User-Generated Content:
I’ve partnered with various brands to create affiliate content and user-generated content (UGC), showing how their products fit into my life. It’s been an incredible way to diversify my income while collaborating with brands I truly believe in.
5. Monat Market Partner:
As a Market Partner for Monat, I’ve introduced others to life-changing skincare and haircare products, while also mentoring women who want to start their own business with Monat.
6. Growing as a Mom and Woman:
My twins are now six years old (where did the time go?), and every day they teach me more about resilience, patience, and unconditional love. Being their mom has been my greatest lesson and my proudest accomplishment.
What I’ve Learned Along the Way
If these last few years have taught me anything, it’s this: Growth doesn’t happen when life is easy. It happens in the messy, uncertain, overwhelming moments when you have no choice but to adapt, push through, and become the person you were meant to be.
Here are a few lessons I’ve taken to heart:
1. You Can Build a Life You Love:
It’s not always easy to go after your dreams, especially as a mom. But you don’t have to choose between being a great mom and pursuing your goals. You can do both—and do them well.
2. Your Time Is Valuable:
I’ve learned to protect my time fiercely. Whether it’s spending time with my kids, working on my businesses, or investing in myself, I’ve realized that being intentional about how I spend my time is the key to balance and success.
3. Perfection Isn’t the Goal:
Life as a mom, entrepreneur, and human isn’t perfect—and that’s okay. I’ve stopped chasing perfection and started celebrating progress.
4. Empowering Others Is the Best Reward:
Helping other women build their own businesses and take control of their lives has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my journey. We’re stronger together, and I’m grateful to be part of a community of incredible, determined women.
